Almost each and every one of us has a way to snap digital photos — whether it’s that killer digital SLR or even simply the camera on your phone, we’ve all entered into the world of digital photos. Gone are the days of waiting (and waiting and waiting) to get our prints back from the photo processor. We get to instantly view our photos. And now we want to share these photos with our friends and family. Here’s a few great ways to share all of those digital images.
First a tip: When sharing your digital photos, do some self-editing. You don’t need to send or print your camera’s entire contents. Don’t send all those similar photos when the best one of the bunch will do. You can, of course, keep all the photos on your computer, but share only the best ones.
Ok so onward. You’ve just returned from vacation and you have lots of photos to share. Put them in a directory on your computer for easy organization. You may want to create folders for each day of your vacation, or for special events. You can use any number of available applications to organize your photos. You can even add descriptive captions and so on. These applications include Lview or iPhoto.
Next, you can either use the services of online photo album sites or even create one of your own. Online services will help you optimize the photo sizes so that you can take advantage of bandwidth and storage capacity. Flickr and Kodak EasyShare are just two of these such services.
You can also share your photos via social media sites such as Facebook and MySpace.
And for sharing those photos with a more “old-fashioned” feel, you can gather your group together and view those photos on your television. Just hook up your camera or laptop to the television and enjoy!
